Fuel efficiencyUranium is a more efficient fuel than other fuel sources. 1 kg of enriched uranium (about 4% enrichment) in nuclear fuel releases energy equivalent to burning about 100 tons of high-quality coal or 60 tons of oil. Besides, the waste from the TPP can be accommodated on 5 large trucks (about 60 tons), while at the same time waste from the NPP weighs 126 grams (this is the weight of a mobile phone).
