International Cooperation and Investment Attraction Department the main goal of the Department is to implement international cooperation in the field of nuclear energy and attracting foreign investment.
The main goals of the Department are:
ensuring cooperation with international and foreign organizations in the interests of global nuclear energy security;ensuring interaction with Neighbouring Countries to promote the interests of the National Nuclear Energy Program;
ensuring that the Agency implements the rights and obligations of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of international agreements, including non-proliferation and export control issues;attracting foreign investment in nuclear power development projects.
Control function
Following the assigned tasks, the Management of its forces or with the involvement of subordinate organizations performs the following functions:
  • interaction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Foreign Embassies;
  • interaction with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and other international organizations;
  • development of proposals for the Agency's participation in international programs to support the development of the nuclear energy program through the IAEA and other international organizations, and on a bilateral basis;
  • compliance with international agreements on the non-proliferation of dual-use technologies;
  • ensuring the Agency's participation in the current activities of the Atom Commission - activities to attract foreign investment in nuclear power development projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
  • managing the portfolio of investment projects for the development of nuclear energy together with interested departments;
  • interaction with foreign and interstate financial institutions, development banks, investment funds etc.
  • planning of management activities, coordinationof current and long-term plans with management, monitoring of implementation;
    maintaining operational and statistical records that ensure the timeliness,reliability and comparability of management performance indicators.
